City Tire Celebrates 50 Years in Business

ZANESVILLE - A local business that has kept Zanesville vehicles rolling is celebrating its golden anniversary this year.

City Tire Services, located at 1800 East Pike, has seen a lot of change in its past 50 years. The business was opened on Echo Avenue in 1953 by Arlin and Jean Frame. Throughout the years, expansion prompted three different moves until 1984, when the business settled on East Pike.

In 1996, David Frame took over the business from his father Arlin, who died earlier this year. Since changing ownership, City Tire Services has added more space to its building and added new services.

Frame said City Tire Services offers complete brake service, oil changes, computerized front and four-wheel alignments, shocks and struts, computerized wheel balancing, front end service, farm tire repair, custom wheels and accessories, and foam fill systems.

The business covers six counties with its 24-hour road service program and infield farm service program.

City Tire Service is also involved in the community, having sponsored the Rosa Soccer League and donating bicycles to Big Brothers/Big Sisters.
